give external user with his own jira account access to one of our projects

How can I share a project with an external user. This user has his own (company) Jira account. Do i still have to buy a subscription for this user?

Im aware that i need to upgrade to premium to be able to use roles and permissions

Hi @Kees Bloemendaal

you only need to upgrade to a Standard license to use roles and permissions.

If you want to grant this user access to your Jira, you need a subscription for that user. These subscriptions are always based on the products you want to access.

okay clear, thanks. I had to ask because it seems odd that one person needs two licenses.
