canI use themes in JIRA classic project

some issues trackers use themes, then epics them stories and tasks.

Does JIRA Classic have themes that can be used for feature sets that are related.

Hello Alan,

Thank you for reaching out.

Right now, Jira works only with three hierarchy levels for Issues:

Epics > Standard Issue types (Story, Tasks, Bugs) > Sub-tasks 

Since you are needing to also use three levels of hierarchy (Theme > Epics > Stories), I believe that the current JIRA Hierarchy might properly work for you. Additionally, you can optionally change the issue type names ('Epic' to 'Theme') to match the ones you are looking for.

Apart from that, we have the following feature request to allow more hierarchy levels in Jira:

Sub-issues should be able to contain their own sub-issues
