Hi, I'm a vendor (Workfront) working with a client who uses JIRA Enterprise v8.4.2.  The customer is encountering an error message in JIRA of "RPC:Request Rejected" with the JIRA for WORKFRONT connector.

This message is only happening on the JIRA side.  The customer is unable to access Workfront from the external link that is provided

Screenshot:

In the screenshot the customer is supposed to have a URL link to Workfront.

Messages can be sent between JIRA and WF and are received by both applications.  I fear a code change may have occurred with Legacy JIRA software to block our connector.

Any help is appreciated

Hi Ronny,

I understand that you are trying to help out a customer that is using Jira Server 8.4.2 with your Workfront for Jira add-on that appears to not be working.  Unfortunately, that particular error message Jira is showing in the browser not particularly helpful.

I would be interested to see if you can have the Jira user recreate that error and then immediately look into the $JIRAHOME/log/atlassian-jira.log file.  I suspect that this file will contain some additional clues if there is a stacktrace error being generated when this error happens.

If that is not helpful here, then perhaps getting the user to recreate the error and have them take a closer look at the browser console to see if perhaps there is an error generated in the browser session that might give us some more clues as to what is happening here.
