Lunchbreak tracking

Gabriella Szeltner October 29, 2021

Dear all,

we are using the Tempo Timesheet plug-in to track working hours in Jira. We set the maximum of 10 hours for each employee, since 10 hours productive work is allowed by the law. However, beaks, such as lunch breaks are supposed to be tracked as well. The max. 10 hours excludes the breaks, therefore we need a solution to track breaks and have the Maximum 10 hours per day per user at the same time.

So for example someone can book 10 hours of work and 1 hour of lunch break (total 11 hours), but the he is not allowed to book 10,5 hours of working and 0,5 hours of breaks.

Does anyone have any experiences with lunch break tracking in Jira? I am looking for solutions with Tempo and with other plug-ins as well.

Thank you!

Hello, Gabriella

I know this question is a bit old by now, but in case someone else is searching for something similar – if you happen to be in Cloud there is a Timesheet Check for Jira app for this by Decadis AG.

You can configure various rules and check the timesheets to make sure they are compliant.
