I have created a new Kanban board as we want to follow the kanban process, moving away from Sprints. I created a new filter to view cards on the board, it still shows me all the cards in backlog on the board whereas when I add sprint to the filter, it shows me the cards I want. Is there any alternative for me to make certain cards to be visible on the kanban board with a sprint or component added on the cards to make them visible. Does anyone know a way?
Hi Sayali,
Let me see if I understand this correctly. You created a new Jira Software Kanban board (not a Scrum board) - correct?
And the filter used by the project is simply Project = ABC ORDER By Rank
Is that correct?
But you don't see all of the issues on the new board? Is that correct?
What issues are missing for you? Meaning what status are they in?
Can you share a screenshot?
my filter is project = ABC AND Sprint = 201 ORDER BY Rank ASC
I want to remove the additional cards that are appearing on the board apart from the once I have planned for the Month

Yep cards are appearing on the board but I don't want all the cards to appear only a selected few.

Okay, then you can change the filter associated with the board to reduce those cards.
Or you can use the Sub-filter section to add more filtering there.
Go to the 3 dots menu on the upper right of the board.
Click on Board Settings
Then in the General tab.
Either create a new filter and add it to the board. Or simply add Sub-filter info in the bottom section of the General tab.
