i am exploring kanban board in jira, and tried to add multiple columns in a project, i can define start and end date per project where as i want to define start and end date per column. please suggest process steps.

Hi @Tammineni Venkata Satya Praveen - Sounds like you are basically looking for Time in Status for each status. If that's the case, then accessing Jira Cloud's history is pretty limited. But you can use an add-on like Nave or Actionable Agile to get that information. They are very good and providing reports for Time in Status for each status.
Alternatively, you can do something like what @Jack Brickey is suggesting and create custom fields for the status start date and status end date. Then populate each with a post function on the appropriate transitions in your workflow.
There is no concept of start/end dates for Kanban columns. If you wanted you could create dates for issues but not columns. Unsure the use case for such.

I have requirement where in a project I have multiple task like assessment, design and development and for each task I had would like to track no of man-days consumed, duration and other information and later I want to see same as report. To achieve this is kanbon right board if yes then is there document which I need to refer to achieve requirement or is there steps to fallow.
