I have a mattermost server located at https://im.domainone.com and a jira instance located at https://jira.domaintwo.net. Both are on wildcard ssl's from comodo, now Sectigo, and both show as valid. My jira instance is running SSL over httpd reverse proxy. Both servers are centos7 systems.
I have followed the instructions LOCATED HERE to integrate mattermost and jira. I have successfully completed all of the steps up to the part where you connect your project. When I do click the "connect" button I get the following error:
Connect error!
Slack request access error : [sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target].
I was told that this is an issue with the SSL authority not being in the keystore therefore it is not a trusted domain. So then I followed the procedure LISTED HERE for obtaining and importing the key into the keystore. The instructions were straight forward and I was able to import the certificate for my mattermost instance without issue. When I tried it again I still received the same error. So I added the ssl certificate for my jira instance the same way above. And again, when I attempted to connect the system I got the same error message.
Any thoughts on how this might be addressed? Or, has anyone else hit this snag before?
AND Issue solved.
Literally only needed a jira reboot.
