Hi, I'm using this documentation to associate a mail server to my configuration. Currently I can create an issue by sending an email to the corresponding email, but I wanted to know if I can include extra information, for example, I want that when I create the issue I also fill in the details of the custom fields of the ticket as stard date or tags. Is this possible? if so, how should I include these fields in the email so that they can be included in the ticket details or where should I configure so that these values can be included.

Hi @Nicole Cecotto Roig

welcome to the community and thanks for your question.

Using Jiras default mail handling capabilities this is not possible.
If you want to extract information from the mailbody you will need to use an app for that.

Two popular examples on the marketplace would be:

1. Email this issue marketplace link

2. JEMH marketplace link

Thank you very much for your answer. The same applies to the legend included in the issue about confidentiality?

Is there any way to remove this when creating the issue?

Hi @Nicole Cecotto Roig

both apps usually offer a certain setting to remove certain parts of the mail body, like footer. This can be done via regex. Here is a documentation for example.

Hope this helps.
