Cant create issues or view boards of Classic projects that have never had issues allocated to them

Deleted user May 20, 2020

Hi there

1. I seem to be unable to add any issues to existing classic projects created a while ago that have no issues yet.

I get this error:

We couldn't connect to that issue

Make sure that this issue actually exists in that project. If it does, try again in a few minutes. If you still can't link to the issue, contact your Jira admin.

2. Then on those same projects, I cant view their boards.

I get this error: We're having trouble connecting to your boards

It is not a connection issue, I can get to any issues created in existing classic projects that already had issues in that we update daily, as well as my next-gen projects which are all fine.

Have classic projects been discontinued if not in use? Not sure what else it could be. I also haven't changed any settings for my classic projects.

Thanks for any help :)

Hi Monika - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Catherine never responded. Do you have more details on what you are trying to do and what the exact problem is?

Hi

As soon as I create a project that isn't a next-gen project Im getting an error "This project isn't available". I am able to find it in "view all projects".
I can open the project but the board is saying "We're having troubles connecting to your boards".

If I reload the page i am back to seeing "This project isn't available
It may have been deleted or your permissions may have changed."

I have added myself as admin to the project but it didn't help with my issue.

Take a look at the Browse Project permission in the Permission Scheme attached to the project to make sure that the Project Administrator role has that permission.

Then also take a look at the Filter for the board to see who it is shared it.

Hi Catherine,

I am having a little trouble following what is going on.

You are trying to create a new issue on a project, but it is giving you an error. Is that correct?

Have you checked the permission scheme for the project to see the permissions for Create Issue?
