Calculate velocity upon resolving issue instead of completing

Hi there

Is there a way to include resolved issues for the velocity instead of waiting until they are closed?

My team operates like this: the product owner closes issues at a later stage, but they are actually resolved by the dev team.

What do you think?

Yeah, there's a discussion around resolution and done to be had (mostly ending with "we should stop using resolution like this", in my experience), but yes, for now, we're stuck with a column definition as being done.

I understand, while one can argue that actually resolved is "done".

Anyway, thanks for your fast answer.

No, velocity is calculated when an issue is "done".  On boards, that is "in the right hand column of the board".  You'd need to rewrite Jira Software (and part of the Agile standards) to get it to use resolution instead.
