CRITICAL: Jira-QMetry Integration

felis paul February 16, 2022

We have Jira Software Data Center V8.21.1 deployed in our environment in which we have installed QMetry Plugin. No when trying to connect QMetry with Jira, its giving one field by the name Organization Code. Can anyone please guide me from where I can get the value of this Organization Code for connecting QMetry with Jira so as to run the REST APIs of QMetry. Requesting to please respond to this query on urgent basis as we have to start our work on QMetry as early as possible.

Hi Felis,

1. In case you're using QMetry Test Management standalone tool (since you're looking to integrate QMetry with Jira), then you can find the organization code by logging in > click your name (top right corner) > Profile > Organization Code.

  • Please note organization code will not be required for authentication. Entering Username, Password and clicking "Connect" should work too.
  • Alternatively, entering the QMetry URL, and using the api key generated from QMetry's Integration > Open API section should work too.

2. In case you are using the test management app inside Jira, the QTM4J app, please ensure you have installed this app (QMetry Test Management for Jira) inside Jira:  https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215144/qmetry-for-jira-test-management?hosting=datacenter&tab=overview . You do not need Organization Code to use this app.

For any further questions you can reach out to us by dropping in a support ticket by sending an email to qtmprofessional@qmetrysupport.atlassian.net

or raising a request on QMetry Support Portal after signing up along with your organization details and QMetry version.

Regards,
Jatin Lala

If this is critical, you'll need to go to support for help (specifically QMetry support, not Atlassian).

The community may be able to help you, but I'm answering now because I don't want you to be relying on this question - you may not get any response for a while, if at all.

(I'm not familiar enough with QMetry to help I'm afraid)
