Automatic schedule

Juliana Tamizou May 2, 2018

Hi, i'm new using Jira.
We've been using easyRedMine and now i started to try Jira.
I need to know, is if it's possible to set the % of conclusion of an issue, and if it is possible to create an entire schedule just creating issues and setting up the hour and the relation between them.

I will try explain myself with an example of what i used to do in MS Project and something that i could do in redMine with some workaround.

1. Create the Issue 1 and set the number of hours estimate to finish

2. Create the issue 2 and also set the number of hours and now especify that this issue should start after the end of issue 1

3. Create the issue 3 in the same way, just changing that to this issue start, the issue 2 should be done first

After all this steps, i am able to create the schedule to finish all these issues. Is there anyway to do that?

AFAIK, JIRA doesn't do scheduling but there are addons like Portfolio for JIRA which add those features.

Hello,

You would need to develop a plugin for it or use Power Scripts, Scriptrunner, Automation for Jira, which can help you with automation.

Also kindly have a look at the Big Picture plugin. I think it has a similair functionality to what you want.

Tks, I already am testing the Big Gantt wich, and until now i haven't see anything like what I have described above, except the fact that if I move an issue the relationed ones are moved too
