Atlassian wants to see and download all your Google Drive files

I used to be able to use Google Drive file links within my Jira items but now Atlassian wants me to authorize it to access all my Drive files in order to use the link. I remember it used to nag about connecting accounts to enable previews but the link would still work - now it doesn't work at all.

I really don't want to give Atlassian access to all my Drive files.

How can I just have a working hyperlink to Google Drive files in my Jira items?

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

In order to get the files to be able to attach it to a ticket, Jira needs access to your drive.

When you link a Google Drive account, it will only be visible for you. Even if someone from Atlassian accesses your site or the database, anything else, we won't have access to your private information.

If you don't want to grant access due to private files, then the best option is to use another Drive account where you have only work-related information, but again, we from Atlassian won't have access to your private files on Google Drive.
