Allowing development icons for Jira board

We find that icons are missing on tasks in GitHub development if there is 100 more tasks. Is there a way to overcome this?
For our sprint related to that project board, we consistently have more than 100 tasks and the icon is convenient to address merged/pushed updates for a task.

Development icons will not show if your Jira board has more than 100 issues.

I don't think so. May be raise a feature request for Atlassian?
