workflow status rename as camelcase in cloud

Hi,

   Can you please let me know if we can rename the workflow status to camel case in Jira cloud.

Eg : DISCOVERY → Discovery

As I can see that is not possible. Please let me know ..

In Jira cloud's admin section, statuses can be named using camel case, as you can see here:

However, in the UI the user sees (in workflow diagrams, on issues, in reports, etc) statuses displayed in lozenges are always shown in full caps. That is not configurable.

In Jira Cloud, you can rename workflow statuses (like changing DISCOVERY → Discovery) to camel case or any case — but you have to edit the status itself from Jira Settings, not directly inside the workflow.

Steps to rename a status in Jira Cloud:

1. Go to Jira Settings → Issues.

2. Under Issue Attributes, click Statuses.

3. Find the status you want (e.g., DISCOVERY).

4. Click the three dots (•••) next to it → Edit.

5. Change the Name to Discovery (camel case).

6. Save it
   
   The new name will reflect everywhere the status is used (all workflows).
   You must have Jira Admin permissions to edit statuses.
   System statuses (like "Done", "To Do") can't be renamed — but custom ones like DISCOVERY absolutely can.
