We have Azure AD integrated with our JSM instance, so I am logged in with my own account. When I go to 'connect' a Microsoft custom email account to a project it auto-signs in (assuming because we use SSO) with my current account and does not give me the opportunity to connect a separate email account.

Even if I click fast enough to stop the authentication process and re-enter the creds of the account I actually want to use, it does not actually connect it.

Is there some workaround for this?

Hello @Tristan

This happens because the OAuth flow automatically reuses your active Microsoft session instead of letting you select the custom mailbox. Open an incognito window or a clean browser profile, log into Jira, and restart the connection under your JSM Email settings. When prompted by Microsoft, log in directly with the custom mailbox credentials.

Just ensure the mailbox allows interactive logins and your admin has approved the Atlassian app consent. If you are reconnecting an active inbox, keep in mind that email processing will briefly pause during the setup.

Best,

Arkadiusz 🤠☀️
