auto assign issue based on customer's company?

Elisabeth Hunt
August 4, 2021

Our issues will all be created by external customers - about 20,000 in about 1,200 companies.  Each company has a rep assigned to it.  When we get an email from a user at Detroit Zoo, I want the issue to automatically be assigned to Kim.

I do see the automation part but can't see how to do this - anyone feel generous enough to give me a hint?

Hi @Elisabeth Hunt and welcome!

Automation has a rule library, and it comes with a template for what you want:

You just have to modify it a bit, adding some Ifs etc:

I really hope that these 1200 will have some common agents to attend to their issues. Keep in mind that you can only add 65 components inside a rule.

Let me know if this is something you can work on.
