I am trying to edit the work flow for one of our project where i have been assigned the correct permissions:
However, when i go to the workflow there is no option to edit it:
I can confirm there is suppose to be a edit button on this screen by checking a Jira Instant i am a site admin for.
Before I put in an additional request to our site admin who is usually fairly busy i want to make sure I am not missing something and what exact requriements will be needed to have a project admin assigned the role mentioned in the 1st screenshot to be able to edit workflows
We would need to see the actually Permission Scheme before knowing if that is the problem or not.
Hi, @IT Department
Typically, users with the Administrator role in a project can access project settings and permission schemes.
However, sometimes permission schemes are configured with additional restrictions, which may block access even for users with administrator role.
To check if you have the necessary permissions, try visiting this URL in your browser:
Replace YOUR_DOMAIN
and PROJECT_KEY
with your actual domain and project key.
If you're able to open the page — you have the required permissions. If not — there may be extra restrictions in place.
Let me know if you need further help!
Best regards,
Evgeniy

Hi @IT Department ,
You must meet ALL of the following:
1. Have the "Administer Jira" global permission
2. Be a Jira Administrator or Project Admin And the workflow must not be shared with the other projects
3. The project must be ompany-Managed

Hi, @IT Department
To edit a workflow in a project, you must meet all of the following conditions:
One important note: Even if you meet all these requirements, you still can't make advanced changes like editing post-functions. You can only modify statuses and transitions.
Let me know if you need further clarification!

So despite being advertised to product admins in JSM projects, this permission apparently only works for project admins in Jira software or business projects. Extremely frustrating, as my only use case for letting a project admin edit workflows is in a single service project.
