Is it possible to add a widget code to the servicedesk portal at .atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/porta?

Based on my experience and knowledge that although technically is possible, however I don't recommended because you are trying to modify the portal UI.  When you conduct such activities, Atlassian most likely will not support.

Here are your options that you can look into -

1) Access Atlassian Marketplace for third party add-ons that can provide you with functionality to enhance the portal UI -   https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?category=Themes%20%26%20styles&hosting=cloud&product=jira-service-management

2) Contact Atlassian Support (https://support.atlassian.com) for their recommendations and further assistance.
