Why are twitter direct messages turning into JIRA Requests?

I have dove into this and cannot see any settings in the JIRA Prioject settings related to twitter nor do I have any plugins related to twitter installed. Can someone please help me figure out what is going on?

Hi @JayJuan Jones - Is your twitter account tied to the same account used for Jira email intake?

That's your issue then. Any time an email is triggered on Twitter, it's going to create a Jira issue because they share the same email address.  I'd recommend changing the email address associated with Jira.

why wouldn't I just change the email address associated with Twitter? there are a lot of things tied to my JIRA email

Yes you can do that too.  I was assuming the Twitter account had more activity than Jira.  Main thing is getting the two using different email addresses.
