Why are Jira filter results now opening in a side panel rather than taking me to the link?

I noticed that when clicking on a Jira filter result, it opens the item in a side window. This was not the previous behavior. Is there a setting that can be configured to revert to the previous behavior?

@Matteo Vecchiato Thank you for the feedback. It will be great to have a setting to revert to the previous behavior. This new behavior impacts my workflow.
