I understand the function of most of the fields, but what is the goal of the name field?

I guess you are not Jira Admin/ Board Admin who configured this board. Please check with with Jira Admins or Board Admins who have configured this board for better insights of these fields.

What do you mean by "'Name' context field"?

The phrase tells us nothing about what thing you are asking about, other than it's something to do with a field.
