WebShop in jsm customer portal

Hey Community!

is there someone on the internet that tried to build something like a "shop" in a customer Portal *without Addons* 

I just want some ideas.

I know there are some third party tools like this

But they are very expensive i think. I tried to build something with Assets but all what you can build looks very ugly ^^. I cant upload my own icons or add attributes for pictures.

I tried to create a form with some fields, but you reach the limitations very fast without something like a "Shopping Cart" or a field where you can summarize all prices of articles.

I feel like you answered your own question :) But probably not the answer you're going to like/want to get.

Building something yourself without developing an app is not going to be pretty or user friendly or flexible.

The reason these apps exist (and cost quite some money) is because they had to build it themselves and provide support/bugfixes/...

I'm afraid nothing you can cobble together using the native building blocks will ever be as nice as the apps and sadly that means investing a little money to get a proper solution.
