Want to create subtask in Jira Software Project

Hi Team,

We want to create subtask in Jira Software Project with conditions: 
There is an existing Task on Jira Software, but we want to create subtask triggered by creating a new Jira Service Management ticket and map it to existing Task on Jira Software.

Notes : only create subtask without a task

Hi @yoga.pramono 

It is not possible to create a Sub-task without a parent. It doesn't have to be a Task issue type parent, but there must be a parent.

Just curious, i have same problem for this.
Thats mean, even we know the Task/issue ID, we cant map/create a subtask to the current issue ID?

Do you have any proposal or idea to put new sub-task to existing Parent(Issue/Task)?
