Using JQL vs specific issues when creating custom Jira reports

Deleted user September 6, 2022

I am creating custom reports to get more clarity on SLAs - particularly the number of tickets that are breached/by how many hours/days.

When  I opt for 'JQL search' I get fewer tickets showing as breached vs when I opt to measure by 'specific issues'.

What is the difference between these two searches?

Why do I get different data?

Hi @[deleted] ,

Welcome to the community !!

What is the JQL you use to get the data ?

We have two functions to get breached data

project = ABC and "Time to first response" = everBreached()
filters out issues that have failed to meet their target goal

project = ABC and "Time to first response" = Breached()
filters out issues whose last SLA cycle has failed to meet its target goal

More details is in https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/write-jql-queries-for-slas/

Great! Thank you - the link will help me with the JQL filters.
