Hey,
we’ve added a user to our Service Management project. From the User Management dashboard it seems all correct, but this user can’t access the board. We tried different options:
direct link to the project - he can’t see the project
accessing the board from the Projects menu - the project is not visible for the user
from the Switch To menu and then Jira Service Management - again the project is not visible for the user
The user sees the other projects - the Jira issue management board for example. The problem is only with the service management board....the user simply can't see it, and if he clicks on the board link - it's not opened for him :(
Did anyone experience similar problem? Any hints on the solution will be greatly appreciated.
Best regards
Peter
All three "can't see" lines are consistent. The route by which you get to a project is utterly irrelevant, the fact is this user does not have "browse project" permission for this project.
Check what the permission scheme says for the project's browse permission and how this user should be matching it - they're probably missing a role or group.
Thanks a lot Nic! Didn't know that in addition to giving access to a project, it's required to also set permissions for it.
