Unable to upload documents - Error Message

For the last week I have been unable to upload documents into JIRA. I get an error message saying "We couldn't save your comment" with a suggestion that it's due to invalid formatting. 

I have tried renaming the documents and uploading again but get the same error message. I've tried with and without additional comments, i've tried closing it down, logging out and back in, and it's been ongoing for a week. Nothing I try fixes it.

Any ideas??!

Hi Sammie, welcome to the community.

looking at the one image you provided it appears that you are uploading a “.msg” Attachment. Have you attempted any other document attachments such as PDF Word, Excel etc.? I no from experience that “.msg” files don’t provide much value since you cannot open from Jira. You must download and ope with the email application like Outlook.

Thanks, yes it's the same with all documents no matter what formatting is in the name. Also happening across different browsers. Have never had this issue before, msg files have previously opened in plain text in JIRA. At a bit of a loss.
