Unable to make fields mandatory in my organisation

I am unable to make few fields mandatory in my JIRA. Happy if i hear some help. FYI, I am admin for the JIRA

Hi @Krishna Chaitanya ,

Unfortunately we cannot work make the LOCKED field mandatory via the field configuration.

In theory, these workarounds can be tried (not tested) : 

* In any workflow transition where you need that value, use the "Condition" to check if that value is not EMPTY

* Or add a Automation rule to add a label to the ticket when that field is left empty, once filled the label can be removed by the user

Thanks, will try the workaround and update the status, i hope it works. Any other solution from anyone is also appreciated
