Hi Santosh,

If you can’t find the user when trying to add them to the group, I would first check whether the user actually exists in the Atlassian organization/site and has an active account.

A few things worth validating:

Confirm the user is already added under Atlassian Administration → Directory → Users.
Check whether the account is active and not suspended/deactivated.
Make sure you are searching by the user’s exact email address, not only by display name.
If your organization uses SCIM / identity provider provisioning, group membership may be managed externally. In that case, the user may need to be added to the group in the identity provider instead of directly in Atlassian Administration.
Also verify whether the group itself is locally managed or synchronized from your identity provider.

If the user is visible in the directory but still cannot be selected for that specific group, checking whether the group is SCIM-managed would probably be my next step.

Hope this helps!
