Hello,
i am currently trying to connect PRTG to Jira Operations to create Alerts.
We followed the documentation to set up the notification template in PRTG and set up the Integration on JSM.
When we trigger a an event the notification got send out, which showed up in the firewall logs but nothing ends up in JSM Alerts or in the Logs of Alerts.
Does anyone got any idea where the error could be buried ?
kind regards
Tim
Hi Tim - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
So you created the Integration following to Steps to configure the integration and all of that worked correctly the best you can tell?
Did you then configure the Incoming | Rules to create the alerts? Or did you just use the default?
Do you have other Integrations that are working?

Hi @John Funk
sorry for the late response i was on a leave.
We configured the integration as descripte in the manuals but we never received any notification as alert. We used the default alert rules but even if they not map to the notifications there should be a info in the integration logs that the received messages does not qualify for an alert which we did not get.
We could trace down that there is outgoing communication from the prtg system but it is not ending up in the Alert integration.
I read that you can set auf some authentication if you want to make changes from Alerts to prtg via the JEC. From my understanding we would not need this because we just want to send information from PRTG to the Alerts.
Do you have any clue here where our problem could be buried ?

Something like that could have a bunch of back and forths for days without being able to tell without access to your actual system. Sorry I couldn't be more help - you should open a support ticket with Atlassian and have them help you track it down. Best of luck!
