We are facing an issue with our Jira ticket. The ticket that has been approved, still appears on the customer portal with the status "Waiting for approval".

I don't understand what you wanted to display with this screenshot.
Have you checked workflow statuses on customer side?
Project > Project settings > Request types > Pick the one you have problem with > Workflow statuses (tab)
Check how are statuses mapped to customer side.
