Service Desk Customer Portal ID

Hi,

We allow anyone to submit incidents by access the URL. However, we would like to customize the portal ID for public URL to use certain name rather than a running number (eg: https://xxx.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3) How can this be done?

example:

https://xxx.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/companyABC instead of

https://xxx.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/6

Thanks

This has been asked a number of times w/in the Community. A quick search will expose the discussions. Here is one but there are others.

Bottomline:

Cloud - you cannot accomplish

Server - you can use a proxy

You can just create a page on your website and then do a redirect. There is a way to do a "server side redirect" where the URL does not change.
