The Jira Cloud app will allow you to do this! When filling an asset field on a form on the app, the QR code can be used to scan the asset, and it will automatically populate the field.
You would probably need to create a form called, Update Asset Location, where the one field is the scanned asset to be updated, and the other field is the asset location to be updated. After submission, automation can update the actual asset.
See the image below, where the Application to change field is on the request type form, and when I click on it, it allows me to select, search for, or scan objects:
