My org now has guard. I have set up the SSO authentication policy in Atlassian user admin and added users into it.
Does mean that those users will now be able to use SSO to log into the help desk portal or is there another step.
I have set the portal to open under channel access and given test users service desk users permission in atlassian admin.
The reason I am asking is that I seem to get mixed results from users trying to log in.
See /user-provisioning-and-saml-single-sign-on-for-jira-service-management-customers if this relates to uses with a Jira account.
If this is for portal customers only, then this is differetn, see configure-saml-single-sign-on-for-portal-only-customers
This should be fine as long as the users are internal, managed Atlassian accounts within an auth policy. This sounds good but one thing to check is if the option to create their own account is set and the managed accounts option is set to auto claim any account with your domain. Otherwise, if someone hasn’t been added before, it will block him or her
