Request participants permission

I am trying to set permissions for request participants to assigned issue only.
Will need request participants to be able to work with issue but not be able see anything other than what maybe assigned. They also should not be able to read internal comments.
Been looking at issue security, however cant get away without giving browse access,,, which would give request participants access to the entire project to view. Any direction would be helpful. thanks.

Requests participants usually are people who don't have product access to your JSM project. They are not agents and not consuming any license.

Your request participants are internal Jira users? What else do you want them to do, except assigned issues? What other permissions you want them to have?
