Hi,

Is it possible to filter some status, when do not need to send email for Approvals?

I mean there are more statuses with approval. But there is one status where do not have to send email.

Best Regards,

Attila

Hello @Attila Salánki,

Thanks for reaching out to Community!

The filter subscriptions are based on the saved filter and it will send a notification based on the JQL.

In this case, it would be necessary to create two filters: one of them that returns all tickets where you need users to receive a notification, so you create a subscription and another filter that returns all the tickets on all necessary statuses that require approvals (including that one that you don’t want on the notification), but just for users to access from Jira, without any subscription.

Kind regards,
Angélica

Hi @Angélica Luz

Thank you for your reply. I'm not sure that we talk about the same.

Cause I mean the JSM built in "Approve required" rule for Approve process from email.approve.PNG

Thank you for the details, @Attila Salánki.

You posted the question on this thread that was related to Jira Cloud, but you are using Server and I posted a workaround to send reminder for approvers.

The screenshot you shared is related to the customer notification and it will be sent when an approval is required based on the workflow. It’s not possible to restrict this notification based on the status. If the status has approval as set on the workflow, it will send a notification to the approvers.

The workaround for that, would be to use Automation (former Automation for Jira) to send a notification to the approvers only on specific statuses, but in this case, there would be some restrictions since the “Send email” action doesn’t have an editor and it’s not possible to add the approval buttons:
