Relationship Between Resolution and ResolveDate

Olive Sun

Hi There,

I used to think that once an issue is transited to a status in which StatusCategory = done, then the resolved date will be set. However, it seems wrong.

We have many issues in the final status but do not have a resolved date. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Olive

@Olive Sun -

In Jira/JSM, "Resolved Date" is set when "Resolution" value is set for issues.  You need to check your project's WF for your terminal (final status) to see if there is any setup where it applies the resolution value.

In your case, I can tell those issues in the final status that their's Resolution values are empty (represented by "Unresolved").

Hope this helps.
