Regex on a Lookup Table value?

I'm trying to run a regex using match() on a Lookup Table value. Here my code

{{YaypayParams.get("longInvoice").match(".*^(C|CI|CID)-\d{1,10}$.*)}}

This code produces an error. Can this work?

What are you trying to achieve with the rule?

If you could provide detail on the wider rule itself also (esp. the Lookup table) - that'd be very useful :)
