Push services/assets created in sandbox to production

Hi

We are on the premium level for JSM.

I know it's not possible to push data from our sandbox to production - but is it possible to push/export and then import services and assets that we've setup in sandbox through to our production project?

We have a sandbox that we've copied from a production project.  We wanted to test how to create services and link the relationships with assets etc.  Is there a way to push these changes to production without it duplicating fields or having to manually recreate the services in the production project?

Hi @Kelly Phillips

Sorry but you can't there is no option in Jira Cloud to export an assets scheme.

The build in Services scheme can't even be configured, as its locked as part of the default in assets for JSM.

The option you have is to go to the services scheme in assets in sandbox and export all objects.

Then on production, you will need to create a new scheme and import the objects there.

As the Services scheme is locked and not configurable, you can't import this date into the Services scheme on production.

If I create a new scheme, will it have the same capability & functionality as the Services scheme which is locked and built into the JSM?

No it has not, as it's not linked to the services option in a JSM project.

This is only related to the locked schema in Assets.

If you want to use your own scheme, you will also have to create custom fields of the type assets

Go to Assets
Find Services objects in there. (You can only get an export of object types)
And get an export.
I believe you can import it to the Production. (Not sure about default Services)
