Public sign up and Approved Email Domain

Hi, 

I have two JSM projects which we want to receive emails from external domains and then convert these emails into Jira tickets. 

However, for this to happen it looks like I need to make the project as Public? Which is something I want do not want to opt for. Is there a way I can have specific email domains such as @Example.com or @git.com be able to send emails to these projects?
