Project identifiers

Is there a way to search for the project name to find more information? I keep getting emails for a few projects but the name is just a bunch of letters and not an actually word so I don't know if it's legitimate or what. I also don't know who it is actually coming from . I can't recall any reason that I would be getting emails for this

In general, if you are receiving system notification from a project, the typical notification is associated with issue activities/events that took place.  In the notification, you will see the issue key information and also the project name - example 

The reason why you are receiving the notification is because you are called out in the project's notification configuration scheme or project configuration.
