The profile picture of the ticket assignee was not showing when the user added a ticket in linked issues.

Are we talking about the profile image of the Assignee in the Linked issues section?
If so, is this something that was working okay before? Is only one or multiple users experiencing this?
Also, are linked issues from other Jira (software or business) projects, or just from other JSM projects?

Yes, that's correct. The linked issues are part of the same project. My colleagues and I are also experiencing this issue.

@Amal C hmm. And this appears only on linked issues and not anywhere else (e.g. Assignee field, comments...?) I've checked on a couple of instances and it seems to be working fine.
I was thinking that maybe profile photo visibility is set to Only your for some users (if you would navigate to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/profile-and-visibility), but if you can see photos in other places, then it might be some system issue. 🤔
If the latter is the case (this only appears the be the problem on linked issues), I would maybe suggest reaching out to Atlassian Support as they could get access to your instance and check out issues themselves (+ they have some additional backend access which we, as users, do not).
