Private Jira teams

Sean Pendleton December 30, 2021

Is it possible to make a jira team private? All the documentation i've looked through has said to click on a "Make private team" option but for the life of me i can't find that button

Hi @Sean Pendleton

I haven't heard of this feature.  Can you share the documentation you are referring to?

Thanks

@Fabian Lim    thank you for the response, upon further investigation- the documentation I was referencing was for Jira Datacenter/Server and was a webpage for the advanced roadmap

@Sean Pendleton -

Hi Sean:

If you are referring to "Teams" associated with Advanced Roadmap for Jira plan, then by default it is always private to the Plan.  Only plan creator or users with edit right to the plan can change the membership.

You can make it into a "Shared" team, so the team can be shared by multiple plans.  However, I am sure that you already know that once the team is shared, it cannot be converted back to private mode.

Hope this helps.
