Portal Customization

Hello Community.

Question 1:

Is there a way that I can customize the customer portal through marketplace add-ons? Such as making the banner size small, adding more tiles within the same row, etc.

I am aware of below stated link but it does not helps as I need more customization.

However keep in mind that not that much customization can take place, due to security restrictions.
