Non-Plug-In Solutions/Alternatives for Awful Jira Service Management Portal?

Has anyone been able to find a non-plug-in solution to the awful-ness that is the Cloud JSM Portal? If you have multiple portal groups and multiple request types in each group, the portal looks absolutely awful. And the tiny search magnifying glass is nearly impossible to find unless you know exactly what you're looking for and where to look.

When we migrated to the Cloud last September we were promised that improvements were on the roadmap. I even received a marketing email from Atlassian with a GOOD looking portal, only  to be told by my CSM that it was just a mock-up and not in-development functionality. The only 'Improvement' I've seen in the last 12 months has been the ability to add a weird color banner to the help center, which honestly just made things worse for projects without announcements. And now I don't see any planned portal improvements on the Cloud Roadmap which is incredibly disheartening.

I am VERY hesitant to move to a tool like Refined anymore because you lose access to Virtual Service Agents and have to start using Refined's AI agents.

Our Enterprise IT Service Desk service 12k users is in a JSM project and every time I direct somebody to the portal I cringe when I think of their first impressions.
