We noticed an issue where naming of file uploaded has changed from the initial one when email is sent out. As tested, it is occurring when the file name is not pasted as plain text. Example: I copied a the name from word document and paste to save the PDF document before attaching it to JIRA. Once the email is out, the file name is changed. However, when I am copy and pasting it as plain text, we do not encounter this issue.
What platform are you working on Mac or PC? What browser are you using? I would think that this has more to do with the OS and how it interprets the file name encoding then the application but I would like to try and recreate.
