Hello,

Is there an easier way to move attachments from one Jira instance to another? I did a migration between two Jira instances by exporting the Jira items into a CSV from one to importing the items into another Jira instances. There were over 3000 tickets but none of the attachments moved from one instance to another.

Also, the linking of the tickets did not work. The parent child issues showed up as is but the other linked items show an error.

Thank you

Hi @Arpita Chadha

Welcome to the community.

See documentation on how to migrate attachments from one instance to another (cloud).

https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/using-cloud-storage-to-migrate-attachments-in-jira-csv-import/

For linking you need to do this after the initial import, as your issues have been given new keys in the new instance.

To have linking maintained, you need to create a full backup and import that backup in the other instance.

A full backup import will overwrite all existing data in the instance where imported.
