Map users to DataManager EntraID Records

Hi,

we tried several methods to bring our EntraID-Users into Assets. The problems were:

  • Apps need to create their own scheme structure but we have an already predefined structure
  • Apps do not work properly
  • DataManager only has a insufficient subset of information

We now want to go the way with DataManager but we need definitely the mapping to the Atlassian users inside the asset.

It won't work via Fullname or E-Mail. The AccountID is inside the EntraID but is not delivered to the DataManager.

So is anybody out there with an idea how to manage this?

BR Christof

Unfortunately this is all kind of useless. All existing apps can't deal with existing structures in schemes and want to create their own objecttype structure.

If we use csv we can do everything with csv. A manual job is not the way.

Again Atlassian gives us features that are only 70% done and not usefull at all. Same with forms.

Hi @Christof Hurst

This is a limitation of Data Manager which makes it kind of useless.  Hopefully Atlassian will ensure that you can bring more attributes through the connectors.  I recommend using a plugin such as Onward Onlink or PIO Entra ID.

The other option would be to import a .csv with the AccountID and another attribute that will help you map it to the original entraID import in data Manager.  You would have to update it manually.

I hope this helps.
