Manage Apps Not Working

When I try to manage an app it's giving me this error:

few teams ran into this exact error last month while testing a Forge app. That “Something went wrong on our end” page is frustrating because it hides the real reason.

A few things to check that usually fix it:

1. Admin permissions
Manage Apps only works if you’re an Org admin or Site admin for that instance. Product admin isn’t enough. I’ve seen this error when someone with Jira admin tries to open UPM and gets blocked. Worth double checking your role at admin.atlassian.com.

2. Try the direct UPM link
Sometimes the new admin nav breaks but the old page still loads. Try: https://your-site.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/upm
If that works, it’s a UI bug. If that also fails, it’s likely permissions or an outage.

3. Recent app installs
If you or another admin installed/updated an app right before this started, a broken app descriptor can take down the whole page. An Org admin can go to admin.atlassian.com → Apps → Connected apps and disable the last one added.

4. Quick browser test
Hard refresh and incognito mode first. I had uBlock Origin block an atlassian.net API call once and it threw the same error.

If none of that works, grab the requestId from the browser DevTools Network tab when the error happens. Your Org admin will need that to raise a support ticket.

Also worth checking https://status.atlassian.com. UPM had a hiccup last week that showed this same message.
