MFA

Hi,

I have a question about if it'is necessary or not Atlassian Guard for these cases:

  • Users/Agents with authentication on Azure AD
  • Customers with authentication on Azure AD
  • Users/Agents with Jira account configuring OTP verification or 2-step verification.
  • Customers with Jira account configuring OTP verification or 2-step verification.

In which or these cases is mandatory an Atlassian Guard license?

Regards

Hi @Carper Par

Welcome to the community.

If you want the user base to be able to use SSO options, then Yes, Atlassian Guard is required, or you could look at SSO apps on the marketplace to provide a solution.

But on your question on Guard ,for Azure AD integration, Yes then it's required.

For OTP or MFA you can continue without Atlassian Guard, see documentation here

Thanks Marc,

Then, Could I use 2SV with standard license for customers without Atalassian Guard license like I can read in the documentation?

I have a new question then... Is this verification an option for users/agents with Jira access (Not Azure AD) without Guard license?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Carlos
